Haemoadsorption Combined with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy in Abdominal Sepsis: Case Report Series

چکیده

In recent decades, multiple efforts have been made to identify targets and therapeutic measures in the host response infection. Haemoadsorption, under attractive theoretical premise of inflammatory modulation through adsorption soluble mediators, could a place as an adjuvant therapy septic patients. The development new devices COVID-19 pandemic has renewed interest this therapy. aim report is describe our experience patients with abdominal sepsis for whom haemoadsorption neutral microporous resin column was added conventional treatment its performance patient cases absence large randomised trials device. We present five admitted Spanish intensive care unit which used treatment. key practical aspects protocol guide conducting multicentric study. Based on gathered these cases, potential benefit organ failure after control source infection adequate should be investigated. Likewise, it must defined can from therapy, most appropriate biomarkers ideal time initiation discontinuation, side effects, interaction other therapies, especially how such affects antibiotics levels.

Continuous renal replacement therapy in sepsis and multisystem organ failure.

This study reviews the role of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in sepsis with acute kidney injury (AKI) and septic shock with multiple organ failure. In addition to the conventional aim of replacing renal function in AKI, CRRT is often used with the concept of modulating immune response in sepsis. With the intention of influencing circulating levels of inflammatory mediators like cy...

Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy: Case Vignettes.

The most common indication for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in critically ill patients is acute kidney injury with hemodynamic instability. Typically, the patient has metabolic disturbances and potential or actual fluid overload that require intervention. Certain critical care diagnoses and/or conditions or therapies present unique CRRT management approaches. Case vignettes are u...

Continuous renal replacement therapy.

Acute renal failure refers to sudden deterioration in biochemical and physiological functioning of kidneys and often associated with multi organ failure. Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) holds special significance for the treatment of renal failure due to a variety of factors. It is believed that CRRT helps in restoration of acid-base imbalances and electrolyte abnormalities. Along w...

Continuous renal replacement therapy.

Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is a blood purification modality that uses a combination of convection and diffusion to eliminate uremic toxins and correct electrolyte imbalances. Although CRRT is usually associated with the treatment of acute renal failure, it can also be useful in treating many types of toxicoses and drug overdoses. Unlike intermittent hemodialysis, in which the p...

Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy

Acute renal failure (ARF) is currently more frequently seen as part of a more complex syndrome defined by sepsis and/or multiple organ failure. Evolution in the field of hemodialysis has led to a parallel development of new systems for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in critically ill patients. The various CRRT modalities differ in the type of vascular access, application of diffusi...
